  • Temporary Advanced Parole

If a person who has a pending Advanced Parole application with USCIS intends to travel before the Advanced Parole gets approved, is there a way to get a temporary or interim Advanced Parole? If yes, please let us know the process of how to get one.
    Thanks in advance.

You can go to your local office and PLEAD/BEG for them to send a request to expedite it to NBC.

        Thanks for the replies.

We got our InfoPass to visit the local office. I'm a bit not sure of what documents to carry with us. I know of the I-485 receipt notice, I-131 receipt notice, the letter from the doctor that proves the emergency and the passports. Is there any other document that we should be carrying for our Advanced Parole InfoPass appointment?

Please let us know and I'm sure that info would help others in this forum as well.

We went for our InfoPass appointment and the experience wasn't great. The Information Officer that we dealt with was NOT SO helpful AT ALL. The other officers we noticed, we all kinda helpful but unlucky us we got rejected for an Interim AP because of the mood of the IO. She wasn't even ready to listen to our case.

They said the reason wasn't compelling for an emergency situation. Who decides that? (Yes, it wouldn't be an emergency situation for you Officer but you should consider the pain others go thru with this immigration marathon)

In any case, if they accept your application it would most probably be a new I-131 application so in that case make sure to carry your checkbook $$$). A copy of your birth certificate, marriage certificate (if married) and a copy of your I-485 receipt notice are needed along with 3 pictures. As always, carrying ALL your immigration related documents will never hurt (who can predict the mood of the IO???)

Thought this would be helpful to someone here.
