Just have your employer fill out a new form I-9 with the EAD and your info. Give them a copy of the EAD and that is it.

      Thanks PraetorianXI for ur reply.
Actually the EAD is from my husband's company. In that case, should I have to inform my employer abt the EAD?
Also, if my husband decides to leave his company, will my EAD get cancelled?
At this tme,I'm in H1B but not working currnetly.

      Pls reply.

      Thanks

EAD allows you to work for any company. Is your husband an employment based Green Card or what is the case?

            Working on EAD

            Hello,

I will receive an EAD on behalf of my husband's company.
I currently have H1 but no job.

Can I now switch from H1 to H4 and have the EAD help me get a job?

            Thanks.

How is your husband leaving the company that is sponsoring HIM for a GC? if he does that, I would be worried more about your (you and him) chances to get the Employment Based GC, than about your EAD.

                Working on EAD

                Hello,

There are absolute no chances of my husband leaving the organization. In this case can I do away with the H1 and switch to H4?
I can use my EAD for job purpose.

Please let me know your suggestions.
                Thanks,
                Jenny

there is no need to change to H4 because once you start using EAD you are in AOS pending. There is no paperwork other than the I-9 you file with employer stating that you are using EAD.

Remember to file for renewal of EAD atleast 90 days in advance, you cannt work if the current is expired and the new one is pending, safest way is to fil 4-6 months in advance.
