  • Is AP/EAD still necessary?

I have completed my I-485 process, done interview, got the approval stamp, etc, but USCIS contacts me later on BY PHONE to say "oops! your name check is still pending with the FBI"!?! Do I still use my parole to travel or not? Do I use my EAD or the stamp on passport to work? What is my status then? Anybody in a similar situation? Lots of ?
Thanks a lot for any reply!

If your FBI namecheck is still pending your stamp is not valid. Use your EAD and AP. But I would make an infopass to your local district office and get that stamp anulled. to Avoid any problems.

Thanks a lot Praetorian. I have already scheduled an infopass to figure this out!

        Another question to Praetorianx1

        Sorry, it's me again...
I found out that name checks can take up to 7 years! Scary... anyway, if that's the case, can I keep renewing my EAD and AP for all these years?
        Thanks again!

          yes. you can.

It may take a few months for your name to clear... up to a few years... never seen anyone take longer than 5 years though
