L2 - EAD Expiry Question

I am currenly in US on a L1 Visa which expires by end of this year along with my Petition. My wife is with me on a L2 and is planning to apply for a EAD.

I have already filed for a new L1 petition (premium processing) and also scheduled to renew my L1 visa soon after expiry. However I am not sure if my wife's EAD still holds for "the new L1 Petition, my new L1 and my wife's L2".

Basically I am just wondering given the situation does it make sense for my wife to file for EAD. The idea is to utilize the next 3 months for her EAD processing.

Please advice.

you can file for EAd along with L2 extension petition if she plans to work
