I765 EAD processing dates

Hi,
I applied for my EAD (form I-765) on July 31st. I had my finger printing on 20-August. But I got one notification yesterday asking for more documents. Has the same happened to someone else also? In the first page they mentioned that it will take 14 more days to process the application. But on the 2nd page it is written that the 90 day period will start again. Now I am not sure if I have to wait for the same amount of time again. I have already waited for 4 months for the EAD now .Does anyone have any idea about this ? I was wondering whether I am eligible to get "Interim EAD".

the only difference between our situation is my EAD recieved date was on 27 jully, 1 week ago my lawyer recieved a notification that they need a W2 paper of my wife. my case has been pending till this date im planning to call them at the end of thos month. my I765 based on I485. i called them earlier this month they said everything seems fine but still wondering why it took that long to issued
