  • Expedite Advance Parole

We applied for AP in October. However an aunt got really sick in the last couple of days and we really need to go back. I called the 1800 number, a customer service agent transfered me to what sounded like an IO, whom listened to my arguments, and said that she would expedite our application, and we should receive notice in the mail. However she said that she couldnt guarantee anything. What are our chances of getting an affirmative answer? And how soon should it happen?
PS She did not request any kind of proof or anything of that nature.

Give it two weeks, the IO probably sent a request to NBC (Who handles your AP) and they may approve it, I would say your chances are now better. Just hope they approve it, you should hear something in 2 weeks... but whatever you do, please DO NOT leave without the AP.

        Timelines

PraetorianXI, I asked this question in the past but need further reference. You mentioned that it takes 60 to 90 days after NOA to the time when you receive Advance Parole approval. In youre experience in a family based case (spouse) does it take closer to 60 days or closer to 90?

        Received date 10-08
        NOA 10-22

              I have good "connections" ...

I can not guess-timate about your case, just be patient and it will come when you least expect it.
