I got my EAD card last week. Can I accept any money from my professor as compensation for doing research. I am doing part time PhD with him. If I can accept the money what are the conditions and what should I do in terms of paper work?

the beauty of EAD is that no such documentation is required as long as you are maintaing the original job.

But if the first job is using H1 you will lose that status when doing second job, so update I-9 to reflect use of EAD
