Ead...please Help...

Hello friends
My EAD card was approved 2 months back but due to postal mistakes my card was returned back to USCIS.I changed my address on the same day when my status was updated online by USCIS that card was returned and the address needs to be changed.They even approved my case for expedited service.Its more that 45 days now and i havent received my EAD card.I am stuck here...I have an emergency and i need to go to india but because of this delay i am not able to do anything other that wait for USPS to deliver my card.Please help me....its really an emergency

You do not need an EAD to travel. You need Advance Parole.

Same thing happened to me

Hi,
What I say might be discouraging but this is what happened to me.
I changed address and I updated it on USCIS the same day.
I even got confirmation over e-mail and even snail mail that the address has been updated. Later they sent me some document (i don't even know what that document is yet) and when I called them, they said it has been sent to my old address ( 2 months after I updated it online). I had to talk to an immigration officer and update on the phone once again. Its been 2 weeks so far and I have received anything yet. This is a lesson for us: Do not change address while things are pending at USCIS. Things get screwed up and they are not as efficient in keeping track of the address changes as they project to be.

To avoid that happening I would change my address with USCIS before moving AND I would make the change at the Post Office as well
