Duration of stay in India on AP

We have received AP for me and my wife. If we decided to travel to india and my wife wants stay for a longer period (3+ months), is there any issues in staying India for 3+ months and returning to USA on AP ?

You can return for as long as the AP is valid. Up to 12 months.
