I am currently on an L2 visa in the US and I have applied for my L2 EAD. If approved, it is valid till August 2008. I can start working for any firm once my EAD is approved.
The receipt date of my L2 EAD is Nov, 2007. Can someone please reply to my questions:
a) When can I expect my EAD to be approved as I already have a job offer in hand and want to start asap?
b) Can I start working for the firm in anticipation of the approval?
I am unable to obtain any information on the expected approval date.
a) If the firm applies for an H1B this year, when can I start working on the H1B?
b) Do I have to go back to my home country in August 2008 and wait until October 1, 2008 to return on the H1B?
c) Can I continue working for the firm once the H1B petition approval comes through?
