EAD Delay - Please advise.

My sister completed her Masters in Dec. 2007. She applied for a OPT EAD in Sept. 2007. USCIS sent it back on Nov. 20 as the name on the bankers cheque was not what they wanted. My sis sent back a check and got a receipt dated 12/20/2007. She received a RFE yesterday for dates of her practical training (internship). She is going to send the info back to USCIS today but this will create a delay in her case being processed and will delay her OPT EAD.

If she gets a job in the meantime, what options does she have regarding starting to work?

Also, does anyone have an idea of how long it takes them to pickup a case after RFE info is received and send out the EAD?
