I have an employee working for me on an Employment Authorization Card which is good until 10/01/08. She holds an Indian passport. She will need to travel back and forth to Canada in her job as a clinical research associate with us. What additional documentation (if any) is needed?

That depends upon what her legal status is.

A person can EAD for wide variety of legal statuses. EAD itself is not a legal status, but may come along with some legal status.
