Change of Status from H4 - H1 - EAD

Hi,

I came to U.S on H4 Status and got expired on Oct 1st 2007 and moved to
H1 Status on Oct 1st 2007. Later i cancelled my H1 and i am on EAD now. I have not filled any form after moving to EAD and i am not working present.
Want to travel to India on April for 2 months and come back on AP.
Is it safe to travel to India as i have changed my status 3 times?

My Status:
H4 Status - Visa was valid till Oct 1st 2007.
H1 Status - Validation from Oct 1st 2007.
Cancellation of H1 was submitted on Feb 20th 2008
EAD/AP is valid till Oct 3rd 2008.
