H1B renewal while on EAD

Hi,

Could anyone of you explain me pros/cons of having H1B renewed though being on EAD and AP.
This is what my plight is .....
I recently got my EAD and AP after I have filed for 485 around 07 crazy july, and I am not sure for how long I need to see my GC on my hand. At the same time my H1 is also nearing for extension may in 3-4 months. At this juncture, would anyone suggest I can avoind applying for H1 extension, if so why? Or is it better to go for extension as precautionay measure.
I would really appreciate some helpful input on my case.

Are you actually using your EAD to work? if so, your H1B is terminated, therefore it can not be renewed.

You are wrong about that, applying for and getting approved extension of H1 and working only for h1 employer will reinstate the H1 status.

I am saying, if he is using EAD to work for some other employer, his H1B ceases. And yes, it can be reinstated... but not "just renewed" if it was ceased because of using EAD with another employer.
