  • Advance Parole Stamp Question

    Hi All,
I have an AP that expires on March 27, 2008. I have used it once already and it has been stamped by the Customs and Border Patrol with a "Paroled until" 08/10/08. Does this mean I am able to travel for a trip where I return in April 08? (On L2 waiting for 485 to be approved).

Parole stamps by CBP usually means you are "paroled" into the USA for 1 year... or until your status is adjusted. That means nothing to you really.

What you need to know is that you can use your AP to re-enter the USA up to March 27th 2008 and NO MORE. If you leave the USA and try to use AP to return after that date, then your parole will be denied.

So no, you can not return in April... you can only return up to March 27th.

What you should have done is apply for renewal of your Advance Parole 3 months ago...

What you can do now is not much. Unless the trip is an emergency, there is nothing to do but postponing the trip.

you mentioned you are on L2 so if you have L2 stamped or can get it stamped you can enter using that no AP required.
