hi all
my i 485 is already in process ,i have my ead but not yet used it .i am still on h1 and my wife on h4 and our visas our valid till 2010. ihave to go to india for may be 6 months to 1 year.what will be the future of my i 485 application will it still be in process.will i get the green card.please help.please guide me.

If your H1 is stamped, you can use that to re-enter the USA and continue working when you return. But of course, you must have a leave from your employer and solid plans to return and work with him. I would strongly advice against such a long stay abroad though.

thanks for replying ...yes i do have my solid plan s to return and work with the same employer..but what about my i 485 will that still be in the process?
