Hi,

I am on L2-Visa and i have an valid EAD till APRIL,2010.
I am planning to visit India by August 2008.
My EAD states NOT VALID FOR REENTRY TO U.S.
I am currently working now and i get an vaction around August.
Can work after August if i go to india?
Is Advance Parole applicable for L2 dependants?
Please help me out.

How is EAD valid until April 2010? EAD is generally given in 12 month increments. Are you talking about the L2 visa expiry or the EAD expiration date?

You need to have a L2 visa stamp and AP is available only if you have a I485 pending.

I renewed my EAD as well as my visa so they have given EAD till APR 2010(date till my visa is valid).

Hmm..Good to know. I did not know EADs for L2s were issued as per visa validity. I have always seen EADs for 12 months. This is news to me.
