Question of Re-enter with AP and I-94

I will travel to China with the AP in a few days. I would like to know when and who will take the I-94 from me. Also can anyone tell me what's the procedure of re-enter the US with AP?

You must give your I-94 to the airline staff, before you board your plane at the gate.

When coming back, just go through immigration and give them all the AP copies and your passport (bring your I-485 receipt, just in case). They will stamp your passport and give you an I-94.
