Need help plz read!!

Hello,

I applied to renew my EAD on March 31, 08 and my EAD is expiring on June 19, 08. I have been told that I have to provide a 90 day window before I could receive a renewed EAD. It would thus mean I can't expect to get it before 1st July 08. I want to know.
1> Is there some grace period, I could work for, even after my EAD expires.
2> I called USCIS and I was told that If my employer wishes so I can be allowed to work If I have a notice of approval. I don't remember getting any notice of approval last time I got EAD. All I got was a receipt notice and than finally my EAD. Can you tell me how long does it take before you get your approval notice.
3> Does any one has had any experience getting their process expedited based on request made to USCIS? If yes what procedure was followed?

90 days is just the timeframe. You could end up getting it earlier or later.
1. No grace period. No EAD, No Work period.
2. I don't remember getting one either. I just saw the approval online and card production followed. It is risky to work as the card dates may not match. In most cases, the card validity dates should match the approval dates.
3. No process to accelerate this.
