  • AP Processing Time

    Hi,

My husband and I applied for our advanced parole at the end of February (received by The Texas Center on 02/26/2008). We plan to go back to my home country China in June and already booked our tickets for 06/22/2008. We have not received any information on the status of our AP application. Does anybody know what is the average length of processing time for AP? I heard that you can speed up the AP application by scheduling an interview with your local INS if you have some emergencies. What reason(s) could qualify as emergies? Thanks a lot.

60-90 days. Emergencies qualify as emergencies, unplanned events that require you to travel... you can not "make one up" since you have already booked your travel plans.

You have plenty of time for travel and AP will most likely get approved by then.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
