Extension of Parole Duration

Hi,
My I-94 after re-entry on AP is stamped valid till May 20, 2009.
Does my I-485 has to be approved within May 19, 2009?
and
If there is no decision on my I-485 application before May 19, 2009 (because of the retrogression on EB-3 category), does it mean that I have to travel outside of United States again to extend the duration of parole?

No. You are fine until the I-485 is approved. but you need a new AP document to travel after the current one expires.
