Differences in EAD(one on L2 and other with I485)

I want to know if there are any differences in EAD. I am on L1 and have applied for a EAD for my wife based on her L2 status. When I applied for my I485, I did not apply for her EAD. Now I am hearing that I should have filed for her EAD again and that a person can have 2 EADs, one based on her L2 status and one while filing GC. Can someone please calrify this at the earliest.
My I-140 has been approved so should I apply for her EAD again ?

The category on the EAD is different for L2 and AOS pending people. If you are on L1, L2 person can use the EAD.

If you are on parole or using the I485 EAD, L2 person is no longer on that status and any use of L2 EAD would be unauthorized and illegal employment.

Thanks for the clarification. I got my 485 approved and should I apply for a new EAD for my wife now as her previous EAD was based on my L-1 status and she does not have a EAD based on new status

I have already answered your question in my previous post. No point in repeating it again. But will do if you want to hear it again.

If you are maintaining L1 status, her L2 EAD is valid. If you are on parole (Used AP or EAD from I485), you need to apply for a new EAD for the spouse.
