  • EAD & AP Renewal

    Hi,

My EAD and AP are expiring on Oct. 15 and Nov. 10, 2008 respectively. Can I go ahead and apply for the renewals now or it is too early to apply for renewal?
    1. What are all documents required for filing EAD and AP renewals?
    2. Where do I e-file? which site?
    3. My I-485 is being processed at Texas, should I apply for EAD and AP renewals at Texas center or elsewere?
    4. My wife's H4 expired on Oct 4, 2007 and she got both H1-B and EAD in Oct 2007. Now she is working on EAD and returned her H1 status in June 2008. Which I-94 copy needs to be attached for renewals? H4 (expired) I-94 or H1 (withdrawn) I-94?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

      Thanks, txh1b!

I got another question and It looks like it's not posted on Immihelp.

We didn't recive the finger print notice for our first EAD. Should I apply for biometrics/fp test with EAD renewal?

No, they will request it if needed. You should have got it for your I485. Did you?

Sounds strange. Most of the people got it by the end of last year. May be time to bother your attorney and USCIS. Did they cash the biometric check last time?

Whatever it is, no need to file the biometric fee with EAD.

I have called USCIS couple of times and they just apologized for the delay and was asked to wait for another 90 days. And her's the response i received from my attorney...

"Do not worry. there is no pattern or time frame for FP. Some got it immediately, but others may get it after one year. The later you got it, the better. Those who got it now will have to do it again and again. So, just wait."

and he is out of countru until July 7 for vacation...not reachable

There is truth in the attorney's words. They will ask for a FP every year or so until the case is approved. So, if your case is not approvable soon due to PD, what is the point in paying visits to the ASC to give your FP? Nothing to worry for now.

If you don't get it after your PD is current, then you will have delays with case processing and need to start worrying.
