return with AP, effect on EAD and H-1B

Hi,

I have AP and H-1B. I have not received my EAD yet. I want to leave and re-enter the US by AP.

1- does my trip affects the processing of my EAD?

2- Can I work with my H-1B (approved I-129) after I return. I know rules are vague in this issue. Some people say you will keep your H-1B status and others say you will loose it.

I am at least counting on getting my EAD while I am gone to be safe to work. But I am just afraid that my absense abandons my EAD application.
