can I send both I-131 and I-765 together in single envelop which can help uscis to keep track of my case....? is this good idea...?

Also what should I write on check in 'pay to the order of'? 'm asking this question bcoz last time(last year) my lawyer resent to me and told me not to write USCIS but write 'department of homeland secirity'. But my husbend had no problem when he sent with 'Pay to the order of' 'USCIS' l...ast year.

    Yes ...

... you can send both the forms neatly stapled appropriately in one envelope.

This will not really help USCIS to keep "track" but will be good for you, though.

Why not write DHS or Department of Homeland Security as your lawyer suggested, is there any problem in doing so?

Payable to "USCIS" is accepted but the new norm is DHS. I would'nt argue on this anyway. Either way you'll pay the same amount to the same agency!

    Good luck.

Can be sent together in one envelop but with each set with supporting documents together.

All instructions pages on forms have address to be sent to and who the check should be in favor of. It should be Department of Homeland Security. Writing USCIS has also worked for some but use what is in the instruction for a form.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
