AP Application with Passport Expiring in 4 months

I have to visit India Mid-December and my Passport is Expiring end of December.
I would be renewing my passport soon. But in a day or two, I want to submit my documents for AP, since its already late.

Is it ok to submit with passport photo copy, which expires in Dec?

Yes, you will be fine. If needed, USCIS will aslk for it and you would have gotten the new PP by then.
