EAD renewal - no receipt notice for 3 weeks

Please let me know if this is an unusal situation or if anyone of you is also experiencing the same. Me and my wife appplied for EAD/AP renewal last week of July. Both of us got all receipt notices on Aug 1st except for my EAD renewal. Now it is almost 1 month since the application was sent but there is no information on EAD receipt notice. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Pretty unusual. Did they cash your check? If so, the back of the check has your receipt number. May be it got lost in the mail.

Thanks for the feedback. My lawyer had made the payment arrangements so I will have to ask them if the check got cashed in or not. As a result of last year's I-485/EAD/AP fiasco, I had received in total 3 notices for biometrics during which my picture and fingerprinting were repeated. During this time, one notice came with one A# while the other notices came with a different A#. This year while filing for the EAD renewal, my lawyer suggested to put both A#s on EAD renewal application with an attached letter asking USCIS to confirm which of the two A#s to use going forward.

Do you think this might be the cause of delay in issuing me a receipt number? Thanks.

Looks like your case is messed up due to multiple A#s which USCIS admitted to earlier last year.

Have the attorney follow up and see if they cashed the check. What is the A# on the EAD from last year? May be that is the one you need to use. Where did the A# differ and where all did it match?

Infact the 1st I-485 biometric notice came with X A#. Then 2 more I-485 biometric repeat notices came with Y A#. The EAD came with Y A#. The AP also came with Y A#.

One thing to note is that my recent AP renewal form was also filled with both X and Y A#s listed. I got the receipt notice for AP renewal within 3-4 days of sending the application. However, I am yet to get the receipt notice for EAD renewal. Thanks.
