Mistakes in EAD Card Validity Dates

Hi,
I and My Wife got EAD Renewals Approved with wrong Validity dates ( Valid from 08/20/09). Mine and My wifes Previous one is expring on 10/20/2008. As My Wife Accepted a new job position on EAD ( till now she is on H1b) We need it very urgently. Can Someone Please help us by providing some information on how to deal this situation.

Can my wife still work?

As my wife's Previous EAD is valid till oct 16th and even renwel got approved (typo in validity dates) can she still work. We spoke to USCIS ..they opened a Service Request. but they are unable to tell about the time frame which it can take..

Most likely 60-90 days... but they may expedite it since it was their mistake.
