Got I-485 initial interview but EAD has still not been issued!! Is this normal??

I got an interview letter today in the mail for my I-485 but im still waiting on my EAD to be issued. It's been 82 days now. Is this normal and can i do anything to get my EAD issued now because of this??

I am in the exact same situation as you are. Are you still waiting or have you got the EAD already? My current EAD card is expiring in a month. I can't afford to lose my job in an economy like this. I found out the interim EAD cards are no longer available. Is there anything I can do??? Appreciate any help I can get here.
