Ead expired ....Please reply

My EAD will expire in few days
What will happen in case I keep on working on expired EAD
I have applied for EAD renewal and case is still pending

Go to your jurisdiction immigration office and present your situation.
Carry all documents including passport. They may stamp your passport with “Pending I-551 and/ or Authorize to work”. (I do not know current process but they used to do this in the past).
Otherwise, PraetorianXI is right, you will be illegal and will create problem in future in connection with any immigration process.

EAD renewal - expedite process

Hi there,

I filed for my EAD renewal on July 14 2008, mine was about to expire on Sep 25, 2008. I called the 1-800(on sep 08) number that came along with my receipt and requested them to expedite my process. The officer read about 6-7 criteria for me to ask me which category I fall under. I said I fall under finacial loss categry since I have a mortgage to pay for and a kid who goes to day care and need to take care of her day care expense. Officer said that they will review my case and if they don't get back to me by 09/13/2008, then he asked me to call him. I didn't receive any reply from them. I called them on 09/16/2008 and the officer said my case wasn't assigned and asked me to wait and said good luck wiht my case. After couple of hours I received an email from INS saying that my EAD was approved and will be arriving shortly. I received my EAD on 09/19/2008. Happy ending. Wish you good luck.

If your expiry date is cutting close, contact local INS for appointment and explain your situation, they will be able to help you with a temporary work permit card.

Can you do this if my L2 extension is pending? I got my EAd on the basis of my L2. My husbands L1 and my L2 are still pending. I jsut recently filed my i 140 and i 485 and havent yet got my AP and EAd. Do let me know,
