Work permit renewal
Hi,
My husbands adjustment of status is pending, its been 3 months since the interview and we have not heard anything. He is also in removal proceedings and his court date in front of the judge is in Nov 2008. We have filed for his renewal of employement authorization prior to expiration. in July 2008 but have not received the new employment card. Is there another form that needs to be filed with the I-765 due to the fact that he is also in removal proceedings. I am not sure, but someone had informed that there some type of evidence that needs to be filed with the judge (time stamped) that he is awaiting adjustment of status.
Please inform whether this is true and if what form is need to be filed and whom may go file. Do we need to ask a lawyer to file or can ourselves file this additional proof? Please advise as what we should do.
Also, how long do we need to waiting on his decision of adjustment of status, is there anything we can do to expedite this process??
