L2 EAD renewal-going out of the country-Help needed

Hi, my EAD and husband's petition is going to expire in Oct.Since my I-94 is valid till 2009 i filed for EAD renewal and got it.
My husband's new petition from india has been approved and we have to go and get out visas stamped.
My question is,if i go to india and get a new visa stamped, what would be the status of my EAD? Can i still work on the old EAD or do i need file a new one?
Appreciate your help.

You can work on existing EAD.
