Me in H1B and wife using AP

Am planning to travel to India in November and come back on Dec 20th. I am currently working on H1B and have not used EAD or AP. My dependent wife got her EAD and AP. She is now in India and planning to come back to US using her AP. Am planning to attend interview in Chennai and get H1 stamping. Can I enter US using H1B, while my dependent wife enters in AP? We are planning to travel on same date. Please advise.

Thanks for the reply. My wife got 2 copies of AP from my employer. Some say that we should possess 3 copies while entering US. And can we appear together at the immigration counter or should we go separately. Please advise.

I would say go to different counters. There is nothing wrong in going to the same counter. There have been cases of CBP officers forcing the use of AP reported on the forum.

Better avoid the hassle by going to different counters.

I am in H1B rightnow, but Visa had been expired ..I do have my AP which is valid until October 2009 ...Is that OK if I use my AP for my vacation to India for 1 month ..or If I use my AP ..will H1B terminated ..or I need to use EAD ...or Did I have to for VISA stamping in India .Could you please clarify me if anybody did like this ...
