How long can be without work in EAD

I am currently working in H1B and applied for I485. My wife got EAD and AP through me. But she has still not started working. How long can she remain like this? Please advise.

No limit ...

... you can choose not to work at all after getting your EAD. There is no mandatory regulation here.
