EAD Renewal - Please help

Hi

I am a new member to this forum seeking some guidance and help on my EAD/AP Renewal

We filed our I-485/I-765/I-131 with old fee structure on July'07 but USCIS returned our applications twice erroneously and then our attorney refiled the applications by Jan 2008 with the new fee ($1010) for me and my spouse and got I-765/I-131 approved in Feb 2008 and I-485 is still pending at TSC since Jan 2008.

Here I am getting ready to file my EAD and AP renewal 120 days ahead since we didnot want to take any risk. Please help me by answering the below questions.

1. Can i e-file my EAD and AP renewals even though i didnot have to pay for my renewals since i paid $1010 in Jan'08?

2. I went to India in Aug'08 and reentered using AP. So, can i file AP renewal later and just file for EAD now.

3. I am working under EAD, hence my status would be I-485 pending/PAROLEE - Is it correct?

4. What are the supporting docs that i have to send if i efile EAD renewal? Do i have to send a letter stating why i didnot pay for the EAD renewal?

5. Can i file my renewals separately on my own and let my spouse's employer file her renewal since she is the primary applicant for I-485/I-765/I-131 petitions.

Please help me clarifying my above questions.

4. Check it on immihelp under appropriate section. It tells at the end of efiling what to send. People that have not sent anything have got renewals without problems as well.

Efiling will not ask for money if you don't have to pay. No special note needed.

If my current EAD expires on 02/26/09, can i e-file by 10/29/08 as per the below calculation...

From date: Thursday, February 26, 2009

Subtracted 120 days

Resulting date: Wednesday, October 29, 2008

* Also, after e-filing, where should i send the supporting documents to?

Please read the instructions while filing. It gives you everything that you need not be worried about. I would say wait for a day more and not be on the boundary line testing your luck.

My personal choice is paper filing. Hassle free as you don't have to go for a biometrics appointment which is needed while efiling.

Hi,

If i have to paperfile, the I-765 form shows that it has expired on 8/31/08. So, what do i do in that case? Can i file using the same form?

That is the only latest form available. It is kind of silly as there were couple of cases that USCIS rejected cos the form expired and I read somewhere there was some internal communication issued to the mailroom that is is still valid. It could be true as it has been many months since 8/31/08. USCIS will accept the form on their website.

Hi Txh1b,

I did paper file my EAD Renewal at TSC. I sent it via Fedex and they received it on Oct 31st signed by WATSON. Now, the uscis website has the new form which has expiration date extended until 2011.

What do i do now? Can i refile again with the new form or wait to get the receipt number or returned application. How much time do i have to wait to get the receipt number from Texas service center?

I did receive my receipt notice last Saturday by USPS mail. The application was received by TSC on 10/31/08 and the fee was waived...
