Hello,
I am currently OOS and getting ready to file my I-485 and supporting forms in the new year (after this years tax return so I can include these - my husbands tax returns - in my application)
My question is: Can I apply for my EAD before I file for the I-485 or do I need to wait and file all of them together? I understand the EAD fee is included in the I-485 so if I can file the EAD before the I-485 should I still send in the EAD application fee just in case? Or can I send in my receipt notice of my change of status to show I am about to file the I-485 so the office knows this is included in that fee?
