Please advise....H1-B & AP.....

Greetings.

I am new here! So hello to all. And thank you in advance to those who offer me advice. This is truly an awesome forum (free immigration help!!!! WOOOHOOOO)!!!! :-)

Here goes....

I am currently outside the U.S. & have a valid unstamped H1-B until 01/2010 and I will be getting it stamped soon, God willing. My I-485 is pending & I also have a valid AP until 01/2009.

I did not apply for EAD before departing from the U.S. I know, I know, that was stupid.

Anyhow....please let me know....

1) should I return to the U.S. on my H1-B and not get my AP stamped & the port of entry ? (I do not want to risk invalidating my I-485 in any manner.

2) What will happen to my I-485 while I am outside the U.S. and my AP expires and I return to the U.S. on my H1-B?

I guess I am just trying to figure out my options & the dangers involved.

If you return on AP, you need to use EAD to work.

Thank you txh1b. I think I understand the complication of the situation after going thru the other post as well.
