L2 EAD and 485 processing

Hi everyone

I currently hold an L2 STATUS(spouse is L1) and work in US based on an L2 based EAD(valid till 2010). We have filed for our I-485 processing and received the receipts. My husband also applied for an EAD based on his 485(and i did not since I have one from the L2 status) and he received his ead.

However we realize now--that if my husband uses his EAD; my L2 BASED EAD will be invalid and i wont be able to work based on that. My question is:

1) Since I already have a valid L2 ead until 2010 can I go ahead and apply for another ead based on my 485 filing? This is to cover me in the situation that my husband uses his EAD and I am no longer on the L2 status?

2) If yes--then should my I765(ead application) be filed as a new EAD application. even though i think I'll have to attach my current ead as documentation required under any past or current ead's.
Will this not create confusion?

If anyone has had a similar situation or have any knowledge about how this should be handled; please advise.

I 485 process details

This is is not reply to your questions. But,Iwanted to know some advise as our case is quite similar to your situationand we are trying to find out the options tofile I 485. Could you pls clarify the below.
I work on L1A visa and mywife got L1 EAD and has been working for the last few years. Currently, we are trying tio find out the best possible options to get Greencard. Please advise whether my wife can apply adjustment of status(I485)while she is wokring on L2 EAD? At this stage, I have not applied labor/I140 yet. Also, I have a threat to my job to continue on L1A (may continue another 1 year or so).
