EAD - Change Jobs - Risks?

Currently employed. Received my EAD in Aug 07, renewed one time and now valid till Aug 09.
What are the risks in terms of getting my green card (EB3, priority date Feb 2003) in the following two scenarios:
1. Change jobs - work for a different company
2. Not work at all - stay at home

1. It should be same/similar job. If the 140 or 485 gets denied, you are out of status and EAD is void and you cannot work.
2. No question at all with this option. You don't qualify for GC if you are not working especially AOS.

What about if I work part-time - i.e. less than 40 hours. Will that make my application void in any way?

You need to be employed as per what your GC labor says.
