  • EAD and AP..been more than three months

    Hi.
Didnt know that EAD. AP and I-485 each had its own receipt number. I just got the EAD and AP numbers from USCIS when I called them over phone.
When I checked the processing dates, it shows that it takes 3 months for EAD and AP. Mine have been pending for more than three months now. Should I be worried?
Does EAD and AP approval depend upon approval of I-485?
    Thank you all as always.

    Hello,

I don't think you should be worried. I applied for my EAD in October 2008, had biometrics in November 2008, and this month I received notification that my card is being processed. Did you take your fingerprints yet? Normally the EAD is issued about 2-3 months after fingerprinting.

Thanks for the update. I had my biometrics done on 25th of November. I have had some terrible luck with all this immigration business (backlog center lost my file and informed me about it only after three years). hence I am being a little over-cautious.

Sorry to hear about the past problems. I just received my card today, so it's been exactly 2 months since the fingerprints. I had my fingerprints on November 20th, so hopefully that means yours is coming very soon!

I received my AP renewal on Feb. 10, 2009. I had filed renewal electronically on Oct. 20, 2008 at the NSC.
