Received my EAD but for only 1 year.

Hi.

I was on an H1 visa, applied for greencard around July 2004. labor, I-140 are approved. I-485 is pending approval since Oct 2007. I had applied for my EAD and received it recently, however it is valid from 2/27/08 to 2/26/09; which is only for a year instead of two. Does anyone have an idea why? Could this be a mistake?

my first EAD was good only for one year and I thought that it is renewable on a yearly basis. can anyone tell us about the true length of validity of an EAD?

i just got my renewed EAD 3 weeks after i sent the application. this new EAD is good for 2 years.
