electronic filing vs paper and form expirations

I applied i-765 along with my i-485 they approved my i-485 but reject my i-765 saying I used an outdated form. I used the form which was the recent 6 months ago and on the website it is saying previous versions accepted. Anyways I reapplied through internet but altough it is saying that I shouldnt pay any fee because I am applying with i-485 and I indicated this during the application. They charged me the fee for the application. I will send the copy of my i-485 receipt notice today and I wonder if this paying the fee would effect my application? I tried to call uscis but because the reciept numbers issued recently the system can not find the receipt numbers and keep telling me to enter it or hang up

If they approved your 485, you do not need a 765 as green card is authorization to work.

I meant they accepted the i-485 and sent me a receipt notice. sorry for the misunderstanding.
