Hi all,
I'm applying for a renewal of my EAD and I have a few questions, maybe someone can help.
(1) I read somewhere that while my current EAD is valid, my employer cannot demand me to show the new one. If this is true, is there any official document online regarding this (I tried to find it but I couldn´t).
I'm pregnant and my due date is a couple of days after my expiration date in the EAD. Due to visa delays, I had to apply later for a renewal and will only receive the EAD at very last minute, but my HR person told me she needed the new one at least 1 month before the current one expires to process my maternity leave. I'd like to know if she can demand that or not. If not, I'd like to have some official document or website stating that.
(2) Are they accepting requests for expedite renewal based on medical conditions? I thought of requesting an expedite renewal based on pregancy/maternity leave, but don't know if this would be considered.
Any help in both issues would be appreciated!
