Job change during I-485 Pending/still on H1

Hi,

I am currently in portability period and I believe i can change jobs without compromising on my GC processing stage. Although i got my EAD couple of years ago, my H1 is still valid till Feb 2010.

I want to look for jobs outside of my industry (IT) but still do something related to my current employment (SQA). For e.g do s/ware related work in multi media or pharmaceutical industry. Is this possible? Will I have issues with my existing labor certification?

Any feedback or guidance is appreciated.

The job has to be same/similar. Unless one reads the text on your labor and analyzes your new job requirements, it is hard to say if you can use AC21.

In general, the industry does not matter but the job should be the same. One working as a programmer in Auto industry can take up a job as a programmer in a meat processing plant, if the job is the same.
