Hi,
I am currently working on H1b visa. Also, I have I485 pending through my spouse's company. Now, my h1b is closed to 6 years limit. Since I am not the primary application of my green card, I cannot extend my H1b any more. So I have to use EAD to continue working.
I have approved and valid EAD and AP. My question is:
If I want to use EAD to work, do I have to apply for H4 first? Or can I just file I9 form to start working with EAD and don't need to do anything else? I understand that H4 cannot work, but my company's lawyer said I needed to apply for h4.
