Hello,
I posted in a different part of the forum before (Visas section) but I came to India to get married and when I attended my VISA interview for my H1 extension, my application was put on Admin Processing. I waited for close to 3 weeks now and I am leaving India to come to US on my AP document this Sunday. I have 3 questions -
1) My AP document is valid from Dec 4, 2009 and I am entering US on Dec 6, 2009. This document was not valid when I left US on Nov 12, 2009. I hope that won't be an issue?
2) Also, I am traveling through Doha (Qatar). My itinerary is ->Hyderabad to Doha to JFK (I live close to Washington DC). Will it be a problem at Doha with my AP document (and at Hyd?)
3) Since I am coming into JFK instead of Dulles airport, I am showing a proof of my onward travel to DC later into the day (same day). Will that be sufficient?
4) I am not carrying any other special documents specific to AP but copies of I140 approval and I-485 receipt notice along with my EAD card (of course, other than the boatload of stuff I brought for my H1 interview - pay stubs, employment letter etc). Anything I am missing?
