AC21 on EAD Change of Employer

Hi,

1. My Priority/Labour date Aug 2006
2. I-140 Approved Date Aug 2007
3. 485 Filed Date July 2007.
Current Status on EAD (renewed on 2008, and got extension till 10/2010).

Company A has sponsered my GC process, I joined company B on EAD in Nov 2008, the position was to Contract to hire. Company B has offered Full time position from Jan 4th 2010, with the information/approval from Company A I took the job and joined as a Full time employee of Company B.

My Questions
1. Do I need to file AC21?. if so how can I do that.
2. When I took the new job, I got little hike in my salary, and there is change in my title. Do I need to inform USCIS about this changes?.

Please Suggest.

Only if you get an RFE during the I-485 approval, then you can ask company B to fill out an AC21 letter for you. Otherwise, you should be ok.

I'm in the same boat

I lost my job with the company that had sponsored my Greencard and recently started a new one on my EAD status (same field, almost same pay, same job title). So I was wondering the same thing. I've heard that you're supposed to file a letter with AC21. But then I asked my lawyer and he gave me the same answer to file it only if we get a RFE. Hope that is right...

Stop wasting money on the lawyer. Don't spoil your health geting stressed about the GC process. Consider that you will never ever get a GC, that way if you get it by chance you will be delighted. Keep renewing your EAD and work towards a better career.
