Right now, I am on OPT (F-1), and just got my EAD / AP under EB5. My company lawyer told me if I come back with my AP, my F1 status will no longer be valid. That means hypothetically if somehow my 485 doesn't go through and I didn't get selected H1-B, I will have to leave the country.
My question would be:
1. Will I encounter difficulty upon returning (during secondary inspection)
2. Should I really worry and just not travel at all? I honestly don't know when will I get scheduled an interview (485 been pending over a year now) nor get selected for H1-b.
Please share some similar experiences.
