  • EAD Expedite

    Hi friends,

i asked the congressman office to expedite my EAD and they recently got replies from USCIS says that they required the files and will review it, then they will make a decision or ask for more evidence within 30 days.
Does that mean USCIS agrees to expedite my case?

There is never a guarantee, only an acknowledgement. All you can hope for is that they are faster than 30 days.

My Congressman's office contacted USCIS on my behalf on Apr 15 and say they still haven't heard back. Would you mind sharing when expedite on your behalf was initiated / how long it took between you signing the privacy release form with your Congressman's office and you receiving the above info? Thanks!
I'm an L2 non-immigrant. My most recent I-539 and I-765 were submitted mid-Oct 2020, Texas SC and approved early August 2021.
Make sure to sign up for USPS Informed Delivery. USPS sent back my first EAD and it took 5 months to get it re-mailed in 2018-19.

      Hi,

This doesn't mean your request is accepted. It only means USCIS will go through your files to decide if they want to expedite the case or not. To expedite the case you need to have a solid reason and provide a lot of documentation supporting your claim. There are some posts in this section, where folks have shared detailed information on type and supporting documentation required. That could be helpful.

      Thanks.
