Hi!
I recently went to my L2 Visa appointment, and I'm supposed to go pick it up any day now.
After I get my L2, I will travel to USA for 10 days to visit my wife, but can't stay there as I need to travel back to continue working (that is, until I get my EAD and a job offer!).
I have several questions:
1) I'm reading the instructions on https://www.uscis.gov/i-765; I understand I have to send a cheque for $410 USD or pay with a credit card (I haven't found precisely how to though).
I also have to send my marriage certificate copy, my passport and my wife's. And that is all? I see there's an option to receive emails but I have to attach another form to the i765?
2) Do I have to stay in the USA for the whole time while waiting for the EAD? Can I come back to Mexico and just continue visiting every other month as I've been doing for the last year? This I have seen nothing online and it worries me that I have to stay there!
3) I don't have an SSN, I should ask for one in the i-765 form, right? Or is it better to get it afterward?
4) I see the current processing times at Vermont and California range from 1.5 months to 5 months. I'd love to get it expedited, but I see that there are special cases for which you can get those and I don't think we can apply to any, are there any other ways?
